Dan Pederson
Yondan
Pederson Sensei, Chief Instructor for Aikido of Minnesota, has been practicing Aikido since 1987. He has had the opportunity to train under numerous high ranking Sensei, including Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba in 2011. He first saw Okimura Shihan during a seminar in Chicago in 1988 and became his student in 2001. He approaches Aikido wholistically in order to develop the body, mind and spirit and is interested in using Aikido as a path to becoming a better human being. When working with students, he finds it interesting to observe each student in their practice and help them along their own path, rather than employing a one size fits all methodology. A perpetual student, he enjoys attending other instructors classes to broaden his understanding of how much there is to learn.
Pederson Sensei also holds the rank of Shodan in Danzan Ryu Jujutsu and has practiced Aiki Toho Iaido and Tai Chi in the past.
