Olympia Sensei first encountered Aikido in 1970 and began practicing regularly in 1983 under Akira Tohei Shihan. She is head of children’s instruction at AOM as well as an adult instructor. She enjoys the inexhaustible depth of Aikido practice and philosophy. She feels a great depth of gratitude to Okimura Shihan and all her past sensei and also to her students. She has found that being a teacher has given her the gift of more deeply expanding her own Aikido.

Olympia Sensei worked in various capacities in social work throughout her career and credits her husband with encouraging and supporting her pursuit of Aikido despite work and family obligations.
